    Yen Sign has successfully developed the polyolefin composite. It is a kind of the high-strength and high-modulus polyolefin fibers and polyolefin base polymer which is composed of 100% polyolefin sheet.
    During the processing of polyolefin sheet, the multilayer high-modulus polyolefin fiber fabric and the extruded polyolefin film can be fused together at a suitable temperature and pressure conditions. Later, in the cooling process, the molten material can be solidified or re-crystallized. And the material will be bond as a whole structure. Since the heat-pressed sheet coming from the same polymeric material plus the phase continuity between the molecules, the fibers of the sheet and the substrate has excellent adhesiveness effect in-between.

    Therefore, now we can solve the difficulty which Glass Mat reinforced Thermoplastics (GMT) needs resin to be bonded because the fabric surface of every layer and the thin layer produces the molten effect. As a good result, our polyolefin composite’s rigidity and strength is very close to GMT’s. Compared with GMT materials, Polyolefin composite is 20%-30% lighter, good performance against low-temperature impacts and easy recycling and reuse.

    The application of polyolefin composite for car bottom shield characterizes not only its light weight and high impact resistance, but also excellent resistance to stone-bumping or abrasion. Polyolefin composite, therefore, is provided as a suitable material for car-bottom parts. As tested it can make great potential to reduce car weight simply by using it as lighter bottom parts. As a single component polymer material, polyolefin composite is more environmentally friendly than GMT. Polyolefin composite products cannot only be 100% recycled, and can has better recoverability. Because polyolefin material has comparatively better aging resistance, it can maintain better mechanical properties in the recycling process.
