Dye-able Polypropylene filaments
Product Introduction

Dye-able polypropylene (PP) filaments are developed from modified polypropylene with dye-able copolymers. The molecule structure of polypropylene are composed of carbon, hydrogen polymerization. Thus, it can spontaneously decompose in the natural environment without causing any pollution. Accordingly, the PP-made products can certainly reach the environmental safety standard and the hazardous substance testing. More importantly, the energy consumption of PP manufacturing process is relatively low. Among synthetic fibers, polypropylene is the most environmentally friendly.

Generally speaking, polypropylene fibers have the non-polar and hydrophobic properties, in other words, PP cannot be easily dyed. As known, the dying conditions of PP fibers are highly limited. And we can understand that its application scope would be narrowed down. And as a result, PP fibers face a high threshold to enter the textile materials of garment market or industrial textiles market. Undoubtedly, to develop dye-able polypropylene fibers has been the global dream. At present, the related R&D still faces many unsolved problems, especially the processing of dye-able polypropylene filament products.

Our company develops a unique modified blending technology: Add the modifying copolymer into polypropylene fibers; such a method not only makes PP easily colored but also produces excellent quality of color fastness. And because the microstructure of modified PP surface’s discontinuous, the ratio to contact with water is greatly reduce. Thus, the water absorption and drain-ability is also much improved. Our technology of dying polypropylene fibers has great potential to enter the garment or industrial markets in the very near future. And now we can proudly say that to produce dye-able and colorful polypropylene fibers is no longer a dream!
